You know you had a wonderful and fulfilling vacation when at the end of the week you are ready to come home. I was very thankful to sleep in my own bed last night. Port Aransas was wonderful. From what I gather we could not have went during a more perfect week. Last week was cold and rainy, next week is suppose to be cold and rainy. But our week was a glorious, 80 degrees with the sun shining. A little cool in the am and in the evening secondary to the breeze coming off the gulf, but comfortable enough that we could eat dinner on the patio. Dinner for me consisted of Fresh shrimp in some form and a Long Island Iced Tea, couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to my days.

Most of our days were spent on the beach, I with a book in one hand and my good friend Jerry in the other and the boys trying their hand at fishing. Funny thing is what they caught the most of was catfish, which is what they fish for in Kansas. We did venture into Corpus Christi and South Padre Island one day. We went to the Texas State Aquarium, which was ok, but smaller than I expected. It did have a neat dolphin training exhibit. Outside of that, we did not do a lot of sight seeing. We probably spent a 1/3 of day driving to where ever we were going secondary to Shane insisted on diving up and down the 80 miles of beach whenever the opportunity arouse. Which was always.
