weekend wonders

This is Shane's last week of school so his kids are keyed up and he is exhausted. It is also an adjustment period for me. He is getting in summer mode which means we are both staying up later. This works until about 3:00 the next day. That is when I really start dragging. A little chocolate usually does the trick, but my chocolate well has been dry lately, hmmmm I better do something to recify that or feel sorry for my co-workers.

Shane and I had a glorious weekend and we both really needed it. We spent the weekend in Burlingame visiting with his family. I think it is our home away from home. We both feel so welcomed and loved there. For me, I was able to bask in the atmosphere and it will tide me over a little longer until I make it to Ohio. For Shane I think it is the only place, besides the lake, that he is truly relaxed and can almost turn off his brain. On Saturday, his aunts, uncles and cousins came over for a bbq. It is a houseful, but with that crew, you never know what to expect. I believe I ate my weight in food, but laughed so hard, I didn't gain a pound. The latest invention, the pop bottle launcher was pretty impressive. It shot a bottle about 110 feet into the air.

Someone got the bright idea to fill them with water, the launcher got soaked. Luckily I was able to claim immunity behind my camera.

Sunday was a day for girl talk. We mixed up a pitcher or 2 of beer margarets and dished the dirt. Always good times and somewhere amongst the laughter and the alcohol world problems get solved.

Always a wonderful weekend, thanks again.
