Memories

Recently, I went shopping looking for a couple of pairs of earrings to wear in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th holes in my ears and cartilage. While shopping I was reminded of being a little girl digging through my mom's jewelry box. She used to get so bothered at me, because I would take her earrings from her box and wear them. Then, as kids do, never put them back in the box. So inevitibly I would lose at least one.
While at the store one particular pair caught my eye. I remember them from my mom's jewelry box, I was so in awe of them because they were the pair that my mom wore most of the time. They were the pair I didn't dare wear for fear of losing one. My mom was such a beautiful lady (and still is) and I remember those earrings sparkling in her ears. It still puts a smile on my face.

Now there is a slight difference, my mom's were gold, not silver. But wearing the earrings everyday keeps my mother close to my heart.

Love you mom!
