I have become accquainted with a lady over the past few summers through Shane's softball league. She is the girlfriend of one of the players. She has a daughter who has been diagnosed with Down's. Kylie is a sweet girl. This year we participted in the Buddy Walk in support of Kylie. It was a neat event. Along the path there were multiple signs of all of the glorious smiling faces of the people participating in the event. Following the walk it was the typical barbecue and games. It was one of the events that puts a smile in your heart. A side bar to the above. I was so preoccupied with the event, I forgot to call and sign up for CAG. By the time I remembered the event was sold out and I was put on a waiting list. Oh well.

This year we had a gorgeous fall season. So it was a perfect opportunity for me. A couple of years ago I was given a digital 35mm camera. I have been having fun playing with it. But one of these days I am actually going to figure out how to use it. So I spent the fall season playing with the manual settings. I dumped most of the pictures, but I did get some that suprised me. Only problem is that I don't remember the settings I used.

Finally, the bulk of the month was spent in discussion with 3 other wonderful women planning and carrying out Sunni and Curt's wedding shower. It went off without a hitch. That evening, the girls gathered at Karen's parent's home for precelebration and than off to see a movie. Unfortunately, that was my only hitch. My brother called me the week before to tell me that he was coming to visit for the weekend. It was a lovely suprise. But it meant that I didn't get to attend the after pary. Instead, it was nice enough that Shane, Charlie, Matt and I went to the lake.

And a wonderful shower it was!!! Thanks for everything! I'm so happy to have you for a friend! Love the fall pictures and of course the one of you & your brother. Very good memories. =)
