September Update

As ya'll can see, I have been lazy with my blogging lately. So over the next few days, I am going to try to give you a quick recap. Life got a little busy starting in September. Don't get me wrong, it has been wonderful. I started my new job. I was a little nervous, that I would be bored, not challenged enough. But was looking forward to slowing down and being able to spend more time with Shane and to take care of myself. I was also nervous with the driving aspect of the job. It is not because I don't have faith in my driving ability, unlike Shane. But for those of you who don't know, I am very directionally challenged. As my friend Christy will tell you, her favorite story is while driving one day I called and asked for directions secondary to being utterly and completely lost. When Christy asked me where I was I informed her of the street I was on and told her 13th street was directly behind me. Fortunatly for me, I bought a GPS and haven't had any trouble.

This is one of my favorite pics I have taken this month. Shane is obligated to the PTO 3 nights a contract year. In September, he participated in PTO reading night. The kids rotated from room to room and Shane read a chapter or 2 from Hank the Cow Dog. At the end of the night the kids were able to pick a book to take home with them. One of the other teachers told Shane he had the perfect mask for him to wear while he read Hank the Cowdog. This is what he ended up with. He was a trooper and ended up wearing the mask during all four readings.

Finally in September, we spent alot of time with family. Heather, Isabella and I spent a day at a craft fair. It was very crowded, but it was good company. Shane and I also took a trip to Burlingame to visit with his Aunt Kylin, Uncle Tim and their families. It is always a relaxing trip. I think we both believe that to be our home away from home.

A happy bit of news for the month of September, my dear friend Sunni got married.

Until next month, have a great evening, Only one more day til Santa comes visiting.
