Ulterior motive

Sunni and I try to get together periodically in Geuda to scrap book. It is a wonderful time for my heart. Not only do we get some scrapbooking done, but there is usually good food, a bit of shopping and lots of stories to be shared. I usually loose the calories I eat from all the giggling.

This weekend, I wasn't as productive as I would have liked, which has been the case lately, but I did have a new experience. We spent the evening eating a gourmet picnic and cheering on the ducks in our first ever duck dash. Sunni's duck was first in her heat, paying out $75 dollars, but didn't fair so well in the finals.

On the scrapbooking end, I got a couple of dreaded projects completed. First, anyone who has ever scrapbooked with me knows I reeaaallly don't like to journal. So I had a few skipped and unfinished pages in my books, so I sat down and journaled. It was all on the computer which is a compromise for me. I don't care for my handwriting and I like to do a lot of editing before I am happy with the final project. The other project was a couple of collages. The hang up with these was the computer software. So I took the time, with a lot of help from Sunni, to figure out how to use Adobe. Both projects are complete, still stuck in my computer instead of being in my books, but they are complete.

Unfortunately, I believe I only completed 1 actual layout.
