The current state of my scrapbooking area

I've been spending a lot of time sorting through my scrapbooking items. Trying to de-clutter and make room. In that process I have been searching other sites looking for organizational tips. My goal is to organize all my scrapbooking supplies and projects in the small room I have available, but still be able to use the room. Also, I want to be able to walk into the room, grab 2-3 bags and leave the house to crop with friends. I am getting closer to my goal. But, while searching for organizational tips I came across new products, page layouts etc. The newest trend seems to be "vintage", I am not a fan of the vintage look. I will use some elements here and there, but overall not a fan. This idea was cemented for me when upon searching the sites, vintage referred to an era of my life. Seriously, I am not vintage. To say the least I was appalled, but I picked up my pride and carried on. Went and ate Chinese buffet, followed by soft serve ice cream and I felt a little better.
