End of the week recap. . . better late than never

Thurs night, Mom, April and I are tried something new this trip. We decided to enjoy a girls night out. We left all the little people in Michigan and all the men at their respective homes and headed out. Item 1 on the agenda was Easter bunny shopping at a couple different places, but that is where the girls were left. Then we had a nice dinner at Carreba's, with adult conversation. Which my sister really appreciated. We ended the evening with Wicked. It was
a - mazing.

Friday I had a great day with all my favorite girls. April, mom, Jessie, Dakota and Payton and I did a little running around and went to lunch. Jessie, mom and I played a tight game of I spy and Jessie was the best guesser of us all. We made are way back to April's house and while everyone took a nap, the Easter bunny made an unexpected visit. The girls had a good time hunting baskets and eating candy. Dakota looooves her sweets, she is a girl after my own heart.

After the goodies were devoured, we made some ca-uuuuuuuute chocolate suckers. Jessie, being the little entrepreneur she is decided she was going to sell her completed suckers for 2 quarters. I thought it sounded reasonable.

Saturday We colored Easter eggs, which was definitely an endeavor. The girls were amazed at the colors. I think we ended up wearing more color than the eggs did though. We finished a wonderful week out on the swings with Aunt Amy giving "under dogs" and I was exhausted enough to get on a plane. It was a wonderfully, exhausting week. But as always it was good to sleep in my own bed, listening to Shane toss and turn in his sleep.
