I am happy to say, I finally turned over a new leaf a couple of years ago. I stopped living my life for others or through others how ever you want to look at it, and started taking care of myself. Since which time I have developed a few hobbies that I thoroughly enjoy. For me the most significant one is scrapbooking. Not only do I enjoy the creative process, but I am perserving stories to share with future generations.
There is also the added benefit of the 3 F's, food, fun and fellowship. Scrapbooking relaxes me, makes me laugh, makes me cry and combines my other love of photography. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of subjects to photograph so I end up with a lot of pictures of our cats or of Shane scowling at me. And I am pretty sure my nieces are pretty tired of my camera in their face by the end of the week. But in the end, everyone enjoys flipping through the scrapboks that I create with all those pics and pointing out how many time he/she made an appearance.

It's a wonderful & meaningful hobby, for sure. and thanks for making me laugh out loud...on the part about Shane scowling at you. I can see it in my mind's eye. =) Too funny.
