We arrived at the stadium about 45 min before kickoff, after sitting in traffic for 45 min, which is to be expected. We discovered that the stadium was trying something new. They had 2 male entrance lines and 2 female entrance lines, to keep us girls from getting patted down by a guy I guess. Shane and Jamie went one way, Jodie and I went another. After about 20 min waiting in line I got a call from Shane telling me he and Jamie were through the gate and the guy that entered before him was told he wasn't aloud to take his camera/camera bag in. Problem was Shane was already in the gate and he had the key. So the only answer was to try. So another 25 min later, we missed warm up and kick off and I got to the bag check. I flashed all my pockets and the man asked me "What kind of camera is that" I answered "a Cannon" At which time he informed me he needed to see it. I begrudgingly pulled it out and breathed a silent sign of relief when I saw that I had the short standard lens on it. He placed my camera in his palm and told me "your lucky, it just barely passes" So I did a silent victory dance and tucked it away. That fact that I had a zoom lens tucked away in the bag continues to be my little secret. But other than that little hitch we had a great day. I hadn't been to a game in quite a few years. We had amazing seats, the beer man came frequently and the Chiefs came out victorious. So like I said, all in all it ended up being a pretty good day.
