I, Amy Veasey, am a sucker for strays.
As all of you know, sometimes they are not the best decisions. I remember 2 kittens that Shane and I took in at different times, both were too little to be away from their mother and neither would suckle off a dropper or anything. So after nights of hungry crying we let them back outside. The third one we coaxed into the house eventually started getting a belly on her and a couple of months later we had kittens. Which was a neat experience, Shane had never seen any type of animal give birth. Unfortunately, she was very protective of her kittens and chased our other cats around the house all day, not giving them a minute to rest. So I boxed up momma and the kittens and took them to a farm that had a barn filled with hay and the owners set out plenty of food for all of their other cats that were on the farm.
For the past two weeks I have been feeding a kitten that has been hanging around our complex. Don't get the wrong impression, I don't feed every stray that comes along. This one is maybe 4-6 months old and sweet as can be, never has she feared me. Which tells me she was domesticated at some point. So yesterday, I broke down and bought flea treatment to protect all of my cats and brought her in. So yes I AM A SUCKER! But she has been sweet, Sribbles tolerates her following him around from room to room and Minnie still isn't quite sure what is going on, but she will settle in eventually.
How could I resist this?!?

Love it. Now it's time to think about naming him/her... ;)
